ROLEX SPACE-DWELLER : One of The Best Vintage ever made
This Rolex vintage Space-Dweller is one of the best vintage sporty Rolex ever made. As made from a genuine watch, all markings and engravings on this watch are exactly the same as the real one. It is equipped with BRAND NEW Swiss 2836 25 jewels automatic mechanical movement, solid 440L stainless steel, non-shiny black dial, 30mm case (32mm with crown), vintage bracelet with rivet side protectors (or vintage oyster bracelet if you prefer), mirror back cover, and plastic smoothen edged glass.
You cannot find a better one for this firstly launched Space Dweller.
From Hess Art : "... There is one other Holy Grail in the "Explorer" family though and that is the famous "Space Dweller Explorer." This was a watch that was produced in very limited numbers with the words "Space Dweller" just under the words "Oyster Perpetual." These have been rumored to have been made for the Japanese market and one has been reported (but not verified) as having been retailed by Cartier. These were reportedly offered for sale around 1963 as a 1016 model, son after the Mercury Astronauts became worldwide celebrities. From Watch It Netherlands : ... The model was first introduced into the Japanese market in 1963, just after a visit to Japan by the Mercury astronauts. A trial run of Space Dwellers was made to honor these men, who were (at that time) seen as the ultimate explorers.
